Strategic Plan has always been the driving force for effective operation of an organization globally, but not a difficult task based on the crop of specialists at SUWA’s disposal. The development plan was held on 21
st – 23
rd January 2021, and after strategic inputs from the consultant Dr. David Kabisuwa from Uganda, the final document was sent to SUWA for implementation. To this end, SUWA has consciously launched her Strategic Plan for Projects, Core Values, Mission Statement and Thematic Areas beginning from January 2021 to December 2026.
Looking at the expertise available in SUWA and trend of events globally, the thematic areas to cover include; Research, Advocacy and Development, Nutrition and Smart Agriculture, Health and Environmental Sustainability, Family Life Development, Peace Building, SGBV and Resource Mobilization. This plan will be effective from 2021 to 2026. The strategic plan development consisted of 21 participants, representing 13 Male (62%) and 8 Female (38%). The participants cut across staff, office and community volunteers, SUWA Board and Consultant.
