The SUWA Integrated Farm which started some months back has experienced a tremendous growth. The animals in the farm which are of very high yielding species are doing exceptionally well. The farm as a demonstration farm has a whole lot of impacts on environmental sustainability.
The animals dung have also been the source of compose fertilizer produced by SUWA in the farm. The aim and vision of the farm is to have a place where the animals and the farm will be self sustaining. As the animals drop their waste, the farm will receive it to produce more food and also feed the animals in return.
Recently, the compose produced at the farm was harvested which will be used on the SUWA farm as fertilizer to increase the performance of the crops planted in the farm.
