SUWA had a day training on the production of briquettes with the Jos Green Center. Staff were trained on how to convert the waste around to wealth.
The following were the objectives of the training:
- To contribute in promoting inclusion, resilience and sustainability of urban community in Nigeria.
- To contribute in promoting sustainable consumption and production of urban communities such that they stay within environmental limits through reduced was generation, prevention, reduction, recycling and re-use.
- To contribute in promoting approaches of turning waste to wealth through eco-jobs creation.
- To inspire participants to transform waste into useful products.
