SUWA team was in Makurdi, Benue State, Nigeria on 30th September, 2021 to develop the SGBV guidelines for students in some selected Secondary Schools in the state. The session was worth the efforts as students and teachers aired their views on SGBV issues in their schools; how SGBV issues are reported/handled, common Sexual Gender Based Violence in their schools, specific forms of violence, prevention strategies, strategies for care and support for SGBV survivors and strategy for ensuring justice for survivors. Participants pledged their allegiance to be committed in responding to SGBV issues in their Schools.
