International Day for Tolerance, 2022

November 16, 2022

The goal of International Day of Tolerance is to get people to appreciate the beauty of many viewpoints, ethnicities, faiths and ideologies while also recognising the cultural diversity that exists. Tolerance is respect, acceptance and appreciation of the rich diversity of our world’s cultures, our forms of expression and ways of being human. Together we can work to have a peaceful and just society where all enjoy Freedom of Religion and Belief (FoRB).
SUWA joins everyone around the globe to celebrate the International Day of Tolerance and to let everyone know that we are all created differently and so we must learn to accept and tolerate our diversities. This will enhance peaceful coexistence, growth and development. The JISRA Project is a way through which people have been taught how to tolerate each other and allow everyone the freedom of religion and belief. This project sponsored by Tearfund has been a source of blessing to the people in the communities where the project is being implemented. There are lots of success stories being recorded in these communities of how people have accepted to live together and see each other as partners and not enemies as a result of their differences in belief and religion. Happy International Day for Tolerance!
